Prescott College’s regionally accredited Bachelor of Arts and Teacher Certification programs are unlike any other educational experience. We offer self-directed, community-based distance education. This approach offers you the opportunity to design a meaningful program which is carried out with the support of faculty and mentors, professionals in your home community who work with you in your chosen field of study. This flexible structure allows students to maintain family, work and community obligations while completing their program.

*Associate of Applied Science graduates should contact Prescott College Admissions Counselors for transfer options for their specific program.

How to apply Prescott College enrolls students four times a year, in January, April, July and October. We process applications year round and encourage you to apply as soon as you discover Prescott College. You may apply online, download an application from our web site (www.prescott.edu/admissions), or use the application in our program catalog.

Students are encouraged to submit completed applications by the Priority Due Date (see Admissions calendar at http://www.prescott.edu/admissions/apply_adp.html) for the term in which they hope to enroll. After the Priority Due Date has passed, applications are still accepted and complete files are reviewed on a rolling or first-come, first-served basis. For additional information, call the Admissions Office at 877-350-2100, option 1 or email to admissions@prescott.edu.

Financial Aid Completing a bachelor’s degree is one of the best investments in future possibilities and career earnings that a student can make. It helps students increase their earnings at current jobs, eases their transition into new job fields, establishes a basis for the pursuit of an advanced degree, and provides personal fulfillment. One of the major benefits of the Prescott College Adult Degree Program is that students can continue working full-time and earning full wages while pursuing a degree.

Prescott College makes every attempt to ensure that all qualified students can attend and assists them in finding financial aid, given individual eligibility. The financial aid process begins with filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Federal Renewal Application (which is sent to the student by the U.S. Department of Education). The FAFSA is a free application and is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov or at the Prescott College Financial Aid Office, community colleges, and other public locations. The Prescott College code is 013659.

Students may qualify for Pell grants, SEOG grants, and/or Prescott College grants. It is to the advantage of students to complete their financial aid and admissions files well in advance of deadlines because some of these funds may be limited.

Scholarships Prescott College offers a number of merit- and need-based scholarships each year. Some are based on merit alone and others consider financial need as well as merit and recognized accomplishments. All students who apply, meet the criteria, and have a complete admissions application (including all required documents) by the scholarship date will be considered for a scholarship. These dates are March 15, June 15, September 15, and December 15 for the following enrollment period.

Tuition and Expenses Full-time tuition is charged by the enrollment period, which is six months. Full-time students may take 18-24 quarter credits (4-5 courses) during the six-month enrollment period. Students enrolling for 17 quarter credits or less will be charged per credit hour. Students cannot take more than 28 quarter credits in a single enrollment period. The 2006-2007 full-time tuition for a six-month enrollment period is $4,518. The per-credit-hour tuition is $251. Additional information about tuition and expenses can be found at http://www.prescott.edu/academics/adp/tuition.html.
