Abby Yost teaches courses for the Department of Arts and Humanities and the Department of Education. She is a graduate of Prescott College's graduate program in the Humanities, studying world literature and postcolonial studies. She has taught in public schools in Arizona in Prescott Valley and in Shonto, in the Navajo Nation. Abby's Bachelor was in Music Education from Northern Arizona University, with a minor in Spanish literature. She is currently working on research in African Literatures.

She is an active member of Prescott's Sister Cities with Caborca in Sonora, Mexico, Zeitz in Germany, and Suchitoto in El Salvador. She sings in Womansong, a local women's chamber choir. When not working on her research or working with students, Abby enjoys playing with her wonderful children and gaming with her husband.
