Academics at Prescott College
Emilie Pechuzal, M.A., M.Ed.
Emilie is involved in the early childhood community as an educator, leader, volunteer and advocate. She is an early childhood classroom educator in the Flowing Wells School District (2010-present) and has also been a center director and instructional coach. Emilie is passionate about bringing the benefits of early childhood education to children from across the cultural and socio-economic spectrum. Her deepest professional dream is that one day every child in Arizona will have access to high quality early childhood education from birth until entrance to elementary school. As college faculty, she crafts her courses by blending germinal research from our field with cutting edge research and educational innovation. Her courses carefully blend theory and practice, in order to prepare students for successful entry into the early childhood profession.
"I believe that optimism is the only choice, and we need to live our lives in a way that reflects a positive vision for the future. Prescott College is a learning community that supports this kind of vision for its students. My education courses are full of lively discussion between passionate early childhood educators of current issues in our field. I deeply enjoy working with my Prescott College students!"Emilie Pechuzal
