Dr. LaToya Brantley is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a Master of Science in Community Counseling from Columbus State University. Her research interests, including wellness and impairment issues for clinicians, eventually led to her earning a Doctorate of Education in Counselor Education and Supervision from Argosy University-Atlanta. Dr. Brantley has over 10 years of experience in the fields of mental health and substance use disorders with diverse populations including active duty military, veterans, survivors of domestic violence, children/adolescents,  individuals with major and chronic illnesses, geriatric clients, and individuals involved with the criminal justice system. Her clinical specialties include addictive diseases and mood disorders. She has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, private practice, and the Department of Defense. In addition to her clinical roles, Dr. Brantley has extensive experience in survey research, data analysis, and professional consultation within the military system and private sector. She has also served in roles related to prevention and public health developing training and interventions to mitigate high-risk behaviors within Soldier populations.
