In order to qualify for an institutional recommendation leading to School Guidance Counseling Certification students must complete a minimum of 33 graduate semester credits of required coursework:
Counseling Theory (3 semester credits)
Social and Ecological Perspectives (3 semester credits)
Human Growth and Development (3 semester credits)
Group Dynamics, Processing, and Counseling (3 semester credits)
Foundations of School Guidance Counseling (3 semester credits)
Vocational Counseling and Career Development (3 semester credits)
School Guidance Counseling: Program Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (3 semester credits)
Research Methodologies (3 semester credits)
Supervised School Guidance Counseling Practicum (9 semester credits)
