The College has an ongoing campus planning effort aimed at coordinating and guiding the enhancement and development of the College’s campus(es) to better facilitate a sense of community and to further the educational mission.
This effort is coordinated by a cross-college group, the Campus Planning Committee, who comes together on a periodic basis to facilitate and coordinate this process. The Committee utilizes a collaborative, inclusive, and general consensus process to undertake these periodic updates. Accordingly, occasional College Community meetings, surveys, focus groups, and other methods to solicit input and convey information are conducted. The need to collect and disseminate information is also balanced with the sensitive nature of campus expansion where the acquisition of private property may be involved.
The primary planning tools created by the Committee are the short, medium, and long-range campus plans. These plans then guide the College’s specific project efforts, including acquisition of property, renovated and new buildings, enhanced and expanded landscaping or grounds improvement, and other campus enhancements.
From time to time, information will be posted to this site to inform the College Community of projects or plans under consideration or in progress. Additional information can be obtained by contacting the Office of the Executive Vice President in the Manzanita building or via email.
