About Amber

Amber Harris started out helping students navigate admissions in the limited-residency graduate programs, and has been excited to share her expertise with the broader Prescott College community as the Associate Director.

Hometown:

Staples, Minnesota

Favorite part of your job:

Sharing the message of small college values and the big impact experiential educational model of Prescott College with passionate students who are looking to make a difference in the world. Also, of course, giving students the news that they have been accepted!

Undergraduate degree:

Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University.

Graduate degree:

Master of Arts in Christian Studies and Leadership from Grand Canyon University

Favorite aspect of Prescott College:

All of the people who I encounter in the Prescott College community are excited to be here and want to be here - we are a family who supports each other in innovation and the creative process, no matter the area of study. We make the way.

Favorite thing to do in the area and the world:

Explore! No matter where I am, I feel an intense need to fulfill my curiosity about my surroundings, including the culture, history, and society of the people.

Personal interests and hobbies:

I love the outdoors and sharing that with my husband, children, and pets. When I head inside, I love to read, practice hot yoga, and experiment with cooking.
