The 5 for 5 Alumni
Giving Campaign for the Crossroads
Center is a collaborative endeavor between the PCAA
Board of Directors and Prescott College Development Office
to have all alumni participate in supporting the new Crossroads
Center being built
on campus. Imagine the legacy that alumni
can bestow to current and future generations of students through
their support of this milestone project.

There are three ways to
get involved for the 5 for 5 Campaign right now:
Give
your first gift online and enter
your pledge for the next four years.
Download
a pledge form and send your gift and/or pledge to the Development
Office at: Prescott College, 220 Grove Ave., Prescott, AZ 86301.
Call or e-mail Rachel
Yoder in the Development Office at ryoder@prescott.edu
or 800-737-0119, and pledge your support (or get more information).
You can also, always,
give online at www.prescott.kintera.org/giving.
Pledge your support of the Crossroads
Center today, and become part of the movement of alumni who
continue to make a positive difference for the Prescott College
campus and its students. If you've supported PC in the
past, you already understand the real difference
your dollars make at PC. If you have not ever been a supporter
of the College,
in making a difference at a place that made a difference for
you!
Dear Alumni,
Initiators of and participants
in revolutions are visionaries who love and seek change. If you
look at the word revolution carefully, you will find neatly tucked
away the word love spelled backwards.
In many ways, love and revolution
are remarkably synonymous. Students who attended Prescott
College love what this institution
stands for. Did we not leave with a treasure chest of precious gifts
too numerous to list? And some of what Prescott College provided
us as young adults made such a profound impact on our lives that
we would always seek to stay connected. We would always look to
the future for change and try to make our world more sustainable
through our actions and the behaviors that we learned here.
Prescott College is currently
undertaking a revolutionary step on campus – the Crossroads Center
– and the Prescott College Alumni Association Board wholeheartedly
shares this vision. To show our gratitude and support to this commitment
to change, the PCAA Board has unanimously adopted the Five
for Five plan, a monthly
contribution that is an economically feasible way for everyone to
participate in and be involved in the future of Prescott College.
If every alumnus/a contributed
$5 per month for five years, the Crossroads Center could materialize
debt free, and the dream for a more cohesive, community- based college
campus could be realized by alumni support alone.
And what does $5 a month
buy us on the open market in today’s global society? A cup of designer
java, maybe a sandwich, and perhaps a movie if you’re going to a
matinee and you’ve remembered your discount coupon! For $60 per
year, your contribution can become part of the foundation from which
tomorrow’s students and leaders will embark. It’s not just a building;
it will be a center for ideas, for learning and for devising sustainable
solutions for today’s major issues. Prescott College has 6,000 alumni
who have studied on the Prescott campus, or worked toward their
bachelor’s or master’s degrees in their home communities.
No matter what program
you attended, if this institution has inspired you or had an impact
on your life, this is the time to recognize that gift and help Prescott
College to make the gift a reality for others.
We hope our list of Five
for Five participants will be 6,000 strong, that you
will want your name included on this list of people who have been
positively affected by this institution over the last 35 years and
have chosen to give something back. As people who love this College,
we can say we were here when the revolution began. And the next
time I see you in Prescott, that cup of java is on me.
Sincerely,
Matuschka, RDP ‘74

P.S. We will also be sending
you a follow-up DVD featuring the Crossroads Center in May with
a pledge envelope. We look forward to your support!
