It's time once again for alumni to send in their wares for the Alumni Store. We want to promote your work by selling it at Coming Home Weekend in October, and we're asking for your contributions for the Alumni Store.
Last year alumni raised nearly $500 for the Crossroads Center through the Alumni Store; our goal this year is $1,000!
How It Works
The Alumni Store is primarily a fundraiser for the Crossroads Center with profits from alumni sales donated to this project. We ask that alumni donate at least 50% of their profits to the Crossroads Center...but you can always write off the whole thing as a charitable contribution by donating your wares in-full to the store.
If you have any items (books, CDs, art, services, etc.) that you have personally created or sell, and would like to include them for sale in the Alumni Store, please contact me in the Alumni Office.
Thanks for your involvement!

Eco League
Prescott College and the Eco League, a consortium of six environmental colleges, was recently featured in the "In Brief" section of the Chronicle of Higher Education. You can learn more about the Eco League, and view an online video about Prescott College at the Eco League website, www.ecoleague.org. From the Chronicle:
A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN
"Six of the greenest colleges in the country have banded together to form the Eco League, a coalition of small institutions from Alaska to Maine that share what they call a "deep commitment" to the environment. The institutions, including Alaska Pacific University and College of the Atlantic, promote strong environmental curricula and environmental activism. Beginning this fall, students at Eco institutions will be able study for as long as two semesters at member campuses, including Antioch, Green Mountain, Northland ( Wis. ), and Prescott Colleges."
Literary Journal Received National Award
Alligator Juniper, Prescott College's literary journal, has been awarded The National Program Directors' Prize for Undergraduate Literary Magazines. This prize is awarded each year in categories for content and for design. The 2003 AJ issue won for content, and the AJ Office was awarded a $500 cash honorarium from the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP).
The judge, Maurice Kilwein Guevara, from University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, had this to say in praise of the magazine: "This is a magazine that was continuously rewarding in what it offered the reader across genres. Alligator Juniper is not afraid to publish work that experiments in style and approach, but this magazine isn't about glitter and literary fashion. It's interested in showing us the little truths of our lives, like a thousand leaves."
PC alumni can enter AJ's national writing and photo contests for free. More info...
