  • Congratulations to the seven undergraduate students, nine horses and three mules from the 18-credit People, Animals and Nature class for an amazing and successful 6-day horsepacking expedition from Chauncey Ranch in Mayer, AZ all the way to the Crossroads Center at Prescott College

  • Best Practices in EAMH Workshop, May 2007

    Thanks to all of the students, advisors and community members who took part in the 4th annual Best Practices in EAMH Workshop as we explored ways to support different, effective ways to collaborate with clients and horses, to teach, learn and practice new applicable skill sets, and to come together as a community of motivated, professional learners.

  • Thanks to RDP Students Liz Ludwig, Rachel Ellis, Hanna Soumerai, Lara Ruggles, and CLS Helper Sarah Jensen who volunteered a day to bring quality time with horses to over 20 "Little" Brothers and Sisters at the Big Brothers/Big Sisters BIG for a Day event on March 31st, 2007!

 

  • Relational Horsemanship Workshop '07

    An enormous Thank You! to Greg and Lorraine Esquibel for bringing their insight, talent, and skills all the way from Ride to Pride in Las Vegas, New Mexico to a fantastic group of Masters students, licensed therapists and community members for a 3-day Relational Horsemanship workshop at Chauncey Ranch.

  • March, 2007 Centaur Leadership brings horses and equine-assisted leadership learning to the first Oxford Youth Leadership Program hosted in partnership by the
  • Girl Scouts Arizona Cactus-Pine Counsil and the Oxford Leadership Academy of Oxford, England.
  • February 2007 - Centaur Leadership Services partners with the Girl Scouts Arizona Cactus-Pine Counsil to provide opportunities for girls of all ages to learn about horses, leadership and themselves. See the flyer for the first CLS Horse Fans Program!
  • Centaur Leadership Services would like to express its excitement and gratitude to the Joseph and Mary Cacioppo Foundation for a grant toward the purchase of new tack for our program.

  • We would also like to thank the Yavapai County Community Foundation for a grant which allowed us to provide training

           in Equine-Assisted Mental Health to local mental health professionals!

  • March, 2006 - CLS Director Paul Smith traveled to Earlham College to offer a 2-day workshop on Equine-Assisted Learning and Experiential Education. See the press release from Earlham College.
