Spend all day Saturday and Sunday at Chauncey Ranch exploring your own leadership qualities with each other and with horses! Do teamwork activities, play games, and learn what it takes to become a leader for your horse. Learn horsemanship skills such as haltering and grooming, and lead your horse on an adventure trail walk. By the end of the weekend, you’ll be able to use your leadership abilities to navigate an “obstacle course” and play mounted games. No horse experience is necessary. Me & My Gal Winter Wonderland

Adventures in Horsepacking!

Camp out in tents, and cook by a campfire while your horses sleep in a nearby corral then wake up early the next morning to feed and care for your horse before riding away on a scenic trail ride back to camp. Must have previous horse experience and be able to control a horse at the walk and trot. For girls 14-17

    The Lure of Language

An exploration of Language and Communication through partnership with horses. Look at where words come from, learn horse-specific lingo, and practice non-verbal communication with our horse friends. Learn all about American Sign Language, and practice signing the alphabet, numbers, and common phrases. Serve as an "horse interpreter" for your friends as you take turns applying all of your horse communication skills riding bareback, and once you've got the hang of it, join in for bareback relay races and other fun games, and earn your "Lure of Language" Interest Project Patch in the process!
