Nina Ekholm Fry, M.S.Sc - Director, Equine-assisted Mental Health, Associate Faculty, Counseling Psychology

Academic Statement (Return to top)
Nina's main research interests lie within the field of equine assisted activities and therapy, especially equine facilitated psychotherapy and mental health. Other academic interests are trauma, crisis psychology, somatic psychology, human development, and research methodology.
She has worked with populations with Asperger's syndrome, ADHD, and autism. In her work with the Red Cross she worked with asylum seekers and children with learning disabilities. Nina has extensive equine experience, with both mounted work and groundwork.
