For thirty-five years, Liz has devoted her life to the promotion of human potential through study, practice, and teaching. Her interdisciplinary focus, with an emphasis on embodied awareness, includes dance, nature, performance art, yoga, mindfulness, creativity, ritual, and experiential education. With her extensive background in improvisational, transformational, and West African inspired dance, Liz continues to teach, perform, choreograph and direct, with infectious enthusiasm. Her commitment to a dynamic balance of academic structure and self-directed learning, and to earth-based community, anchors and enlivens her courses. Her approach is holistic (integrating body, mind and spirit), playful, and supportive, with an intention to meet the unique learning style of each student. Her faith in the profound wisdom and creativity that lies within each one of us, guides her way.

Liz's current literature and applied research focuses on cultivating mindfulness, embodied awareness, intuitive intelligence, and creative expression in restoring human balance and wellness, and social sustainability. For several years, she has applied her research in several classes she teaches in the local community, including Dance Improvisation Lab: Essence of Presence and Mindfulness Yoga.
