Ellen Greenblum, M.F.A., M.Ed., B.F.A - Faculty

Ellen has an eclectic background as a teacher and an artist. She has been teaching in a myriad of settings since 1978 including working with at-risk youth, senior adults, adults with disabilities, pre-kindergarten students and has been with Prescott College since 1996 teaching within the fields of education, human development, arts and cultural studies and the humanities. As an artist Ellen has worked in a variety of media from metal sculpture to fiber arts, mixed media paintings and currently is most enthusiastic about her collaborative work engaging the public as part of her artistic practice. Ellen has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Massachusetts College of art where she studied metalsmithing, fiber arts and dance. She has a Master of Education degree from Antioch College where she studied liberatory pedagogy and human development. Ellen has a Master of Interdisciplinary Arts degree from Goddard College where she focused her studies on ritual art and socially engaged art practice.

Ellen has been publishing regularly on the subject of parenting in Raising Arizona Kids since 2003. She is also on the editorial staff of Native West Press, a small local press dedicated to raising awareness of and cultivating a deeper connection to the fragile creatures of the American West.
