Laura Campagna, MFA - Instructor

A fourth generation Bostonian, Laura received her BA in Cultural Studies with a concentration in Women's Studies from Antioch College in Ohio. Subsequently, she worked for a number of social justice organizations in New York and San Francisco including the Women's Caucus for Gender Justice, Dyke TV Productions, and the Bay Area Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild. In New York she aslo served as a collective member at Bluestockings Women's Bookstore, a curator for MIX NYC: the Queer Experimental Film Fest, and worked as an Assistant Editor for New York Times Television. She returned home to study Creative Writing at Emerson College where she was awarded a Presidential Fellowship and a Calderwood Writing Fellowship. While working towards her MFA she also taught in Emerson's First Year Writing Program. Laura has a deep commitment to feminist praxis, anti-racist pedagogy, and believes in education as a tool for social liberation.
