Nickie grows grapes for Caduceus Cellars, Merkin Vineyards in the Verde Valley, Arizona. The operation consists of a handful of dedicated people, 8 acres of planted vineyards and several acres of planned vineyards. Nickie manages two small orchards, co-manages the vineyards, and does a bit of vineyard and orchard consulting. Merkin Vineyards has partnered with Yavapai College in growing an acre of vines on their Clarkdale Campus, and Nickie teaches viticulture courses for the college.
