Description of the Firm
We are pleased to present members of the WEDDLEGILMORE Architects team for
the Crossroads Center at Prescott College. WEDDLEGILMORE is an architecture
and planning practice with a focus on providing design rooted in and created
from cultural, climate and site-specific conditions. We believe in developing
structures that provide experiential and physical connections between the
user and the community/landscape. In doing this one begins to create a sense
of "place" which we define as a combination of environment and community.
In order to attain these goals - our level of involvement is maintained from
the initial design process to the administration of construction. This hands
on approach ensures the full intentions of the project are realized. The
passion and commitment that our entire team brings to their work is the key
to achieving quality.
WEDDLEGILMORE has been recognized for Environmental Excellence through our
practice and the design of many of our public facilities. The Phoenix based
Valley Forward organization has honored WEDDLEGILMORE with awards for Environmental
Excellence for the Desert Live project with The Phoenix Zoo, Pinnacle Peak
Trailhead and Foothills Academy College Preparatory. We are also involved
with the United States Green BUilding COuncil's LEED project for environmental
design and will be taking the Rio Salado Environmental Education Center through
the LEED certification process. On a local level, we have been involved in
Scottsdale's Green Builder Program since its inception and have taken various
commercials and residential projects through the program including Pinnacle
Peak Part Trailhead and FOothills Academy College Preparatory.
The WEDDLEGILMORE team combines the strengths of our six person Tempe based
architecture / planning design team with he expertise of nationally recognized
consulting firms in the fields of landscape architecture, sustainable design,
construction management and engineering. our team offers the advantage of
project participation by firm principals with specific experience in working
with similar institutional projects that have a strong emphasis in environmentally
responsible design within specific budgets and schedules.
Each of our team members possess strong creative and managerial skills well
suited for this type of project. We are confident we can effectively work
together with the College to create a successful plan for implementation.
