Prescott College will be hosting/sponsoring several activities for Earth Week 2012
Earth week 2012 Highlights include:
Observations from the Field: Take home points from 18 years in the furrows as an agro-eco-educator
Prescott College Professor of Agroecology Tim Crews will present a retrospective on his career as her completes his last term teaching. Join us at the Prescott College Crossroads Community Room Thursday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Earth Day on the Courthouse Plaza
Celebrate the environment with your community Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy family activities, live music, food, complimentary Starbucks Coffee, and information booths about solar energy, water-smart practices, green building, clean air, recycling, landscaping projects, organic foods, and more! This event is co-sponsored by the Open Space Alliance and Prescott College.
John Muir Chautauqua
Prescott College professor Doug Hulmes performs a portrayal – or Chautauqua – of John Muir, presenting an environmental perspective of the West. Performing as Muir brings to like the ideas that began during centuries past. Come to the Prescott College Crossroads Community Room Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. for this presentation and to celebrate Muir’s 174th birthday! Suggested donation of $5 to support the Arizona Wilderness Coalition.
