Free Expression: Radical Bodies
Our intention with creating dance club is to hold a safe and inclusive space for creative expression within the Prescott College community. We believe dance offers a powerful outlet for community building and we want to share this with anyone, no matter their dance experience. We want to facilitate a weekly free dance session that is inspired by various forms of expressive movement such as JourneyDance, 5Rhythms, Open Floor, etc. In addition to our weekly session we want to hold monthly workshops/events that highlight different forms of dance (hip hop, bellydancing, guest teachers). We requested $500 for our club's funding in order to support these monthly workshops especially if we want to bring in guest teachers.
