What is a Living & Learning Community?
A Living & Learning Community is themed housing, where you live with people who share interestst in an academic area. These communities are specifically designed to deliver different types of educational, social, and developmental experiences to support students. Living & Learning Communities exist to maximize students' retention as well as their academic success and to help cultivate positive experience at the College. People living in the same themed community will also be attending the same classes together.
What is a Special Interest Group?
Special interest groups are subsets of learning communities where students are assigned to spaces based on non-academic preference. It's all about finding a group of people to talk with and to do things with, having a sense of belonging, and having the freedom to explore and discover. It's about living and learning together!
