During the application process, you must supply all military and prior college transcripts to Prescott College, regardless of how prior courses were paid for.   The VA requires Prescott College to transfer in as much credit as possible while complying with college policies.  Be aware that your prior credit may fulfill most or all of your liberal arts requirements (electives) for your degree.  The VA will not pay for classes that do not contribute to your degree.

Students must stay up to date on their remaining VA benefits.  You can do this by logging into eBenefits or calling the VA Student Hotline.

School personnel are not qualified to help you choose one VA benefit program over another.  Contact the VA Student Hotline directly for information on the similarities and differences in programs.

I have been awarded student aid (Pell Grant and/or student loan) that will be refunded to me once the VA pays my tuition and fees, but the VA is slow to pay. What can I do?

I have been awarded student aid (Pell Grant and/or student loan) that will be refunded to me once the VA pays my tuition and fees, but the VA is slow to pay. What can I do?

Contact the Veterans Certifying Official and ask for a Request for Financial Aid Proceeds Prior to VA Payment form.  By signing the form, you will be taking responsibility for any unpaid balance that is not eventually paid by the VA.  If you submit this form to the Veterans Certifying Official by Tuesday at 5:00pm, the Business Office will mostly likely be able to issue your refund by the following Friday at 5:00pm.
