University of Michigan Dean of Students, Sue Eklund, is working with the Red Cross and the Salvation Army to coordinate the housing needs of displaced university students and faculty. In addition, you may be interested in a new website created by the U of MI School of Information, www.katrinahousing.net, which consolidates offers of housing assistance for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
There are three very extensive lists of schools offering accommodation to Katrina-displaced students. Each has details:

Nearly every college/university in the country is accepting displaced students. There are disaster
