PROFESSIONAL WRITING STYLES
IN THE HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES
Choosing which professional writing style (and manual) to use is not an exact science.
Whatever style you choose, you should be able to make a convincing case for why you chose it, and the decision should be made in consultation with your graduate advisor. Here is a brief overview of the Humanitites and Social Sciences as well as some discipline-specific recommendations for choosing the appropriate writing style.
SOCIAL AND ECOLOGICAL LITERACIES
The MAP faculty have prepared a statement about Social and Ecological Literacies as the concept relates to MAP.
