                                                Assistant Director of Admissions Recruitment & Outreach - Tucson Center

Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Associate Director of Admissions Recruitment, Outreach, and Alumni Relations (based in Phoenix, Arizona) will plan, execute, and be responsible for a comprehensive outreach and recruitment strategy for their designated territory to build awareness for our undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. The Associate Director will be solely responsible for building new student enrollment pipelines in the Central Arizona area and targeted territories in California and Texas. The Associate Director will forge new relationships with a variety of constituent groups including high schools, community colleges, four-year institutions, non-for-profit community organizations, tribal governments, and for-profit employers. This position is responsible for meeting targeted enrollment goals. To support the work extensive travel, evening, and weekend work is required. Overnight travel and attendance at campus functions out-of-state is required.

The historical Prescott College campus is located in Prescott, Arizona. This position will be based in Phoenix, Arizona to support targeted recruitment efforts in the region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Works with the Director of Admissions and Associate Director of Outreach, Recruitment, and Alumni Relations to create a comprehensive outreach and recruitment strategy for the specific target partner sites (high schools, community colleges, four-year institutions, non-for-profit community organizations, tribal governments, and for-profit employers) to build new student enrollment pipelines including dual-enrollment, transfer agreements, and memorandums of understanding.
  • Collaborates with the Director in Admissions and the Professional Preparation Programs faculty to target major influencers to increase awareness and enrollment through the creation and implementation of effective recruitment, outreach, and business development strategies.
  • Actively identifies and cultivates untouched markets, institutions, and organizations to drive new inquiry and applicant traffic.
  • In consultation with the Director of Admissions, creates effective promotional content for regular email campaigns to active and prospective partners.
  • Hosts regular onsite and online information sessions throughout the designated territory.
  • Represents the College as an exhibitor at targeted mission-specific events.
  • Recruits Prescott College alumni to serve as alumni recruiters to enrich and support efforts.
  • Tracks, reports, and assesses the effectiveness of all recruitment and outreach activities. 
  • Provides support to other admissions staff on an as needed basis.
  • Completes monthly credit card expense report in a timely manner.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 or more years of progressively responsible admissions experience or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, professional outreach, and relationship management experience. Proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals.
  • Knowledge and experience supporting dual enrollment, transfer, professional, and /or graduate students into bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
  • Knowledge of high schools, community colleges, four-year institutions, non-for-profit community organizations, tribal governments, and for-profit employers in the Central Arizona region.
  • Strong organizational, research, and data collection skills.
  • Knowledge of basic statistics and data-driven decision making.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with contact management, student information systems, and customer relationship management tools (Radius and Power Point are a plus)
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in an environment characterized by heavy daily travel, large workloads, deadline pressures and high standards.
  • A service oriented approach and an awareness of the needs and concerns of a private college are required.
  • Excellent written, oral communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills, the ability to exercise sound judgment and communicate effectively with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other constituents.
  • Excellent driving record and a current state of Arizona driver license.
  • Reliable personal transportation to accommodate a heavy travel schedule in the Central Arizona region with the ability to travel out-of-state.
