Prescott College seeks a teacher-scholar to envision and teach new interdisciplinary courses in Critical Policy Studies and Governance to undergraduate and masters students, and to lead in both creating and integrating a new focus in policy and social change across our curriculum. We are looking for a colleague who takes a critical approach to the understanding and analysis of policy and governance at local, national and global scales.  The successful candidate will be committed to equipping students with the tools and knowledge to understand and critically analyze how policy is made and to participate in developing and advocating for policy solutions to contemporary social and environmental problems including climate change and wealth inequality.

The candidate’s background may come from one or more of a variety of academic disciplines and fields, such as Political Science, Political-Economy, Geography, Sociology, History, American Studies, or Policy Studies and they should be enthusiastic about developing new curriculum and hands-on, experiential approaches to teaching and working in collaboration with faculty from other disciplines. The candidate’s areas of policy specialization may include anything with direct relevance to environmental and social justice, such as energy, climate change, economics, development, housing, health, Indigenous Lands, or education. Applicants with expertise in global south regions and issues are especially encouraged to apply.

Please follow the application instructions on the “Cluster of Faculty Positions” website.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.
