This part-time position for Graphic Designer fulfills the graphic design needs for successfully marketing the College, its programs, auxiliary enterprises and supports our internal publication needs.

Translate key ideas and messages into compelling original graphic, photographic, and digital media assets and marketing materials.  This includes multi-page publications, large scale media, posters, postcards, print and web ads, and social media graphics.  Create print ready files for in-house and out-sourced printing.  Part-time, 20-25 hours per week.  Contracting for services may be considered in place of hiring.

Designs and creates products in print, digital, and multimedia formats from planning to launch.

Creates specialized graphics for web and social media, working in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Social Media and webmaster.

Establishes and maintains production quality standards to ensure consistency in the Prescott College brand

Responsible for project management and maintaining organized work flow processes, prioritizing projects, and meeting deadlines.

Contributes to marketing and advertising strategies for the College.

Maintains an archive of graphic resources, including photos, College logos, and art.

Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all departments of the College.

Manages internal printing projects (e.g.: business cards, diplomas).

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Associate's degree in relevant field required with at least two (2) years of experience.  Bachelor's degree preferred.  Any equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Portfolio of original work to be submitted with application.

Must be creative, self-motivated with good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.  Ability to handle diverse assignments and to manage multiple projects successfully under tight deadlines.  Ability to work independently and within a team with a positive and professional attitude. Must be familiar with design and printing terminology and methods.  Must have the ability to work on tight deadlines and to coordinate feedback from multiple stakeholders.

Must possess skills and knowledge in graphic design for prints and electronic media, file conversion methods, and understanding of the requirements of pre-press artwork files for multiple outlets.  Must demonstrate proficiency in Adobe CC, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign in a PC environment.
