Craveri’s Murrelet vocalization recording
In 2008, a Prescott College senior project student received funding from the Wild-at-Heart Foundation and training and equipment from the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology to record vocalizations of Craveri’s Murrelets, preferably at nest sites, so that the recordings could be used for reintroduction efforts on other islands. This was the first time that vocalizations of this species had been recorded.
Vocalization recordings of fledging from one nest on Isla Alcatraz were obtained and submitted to the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology.
