Centaur Leadership Services
Fostering growth and learning through work with horses
Centaur Leadership Services (CLS) offers Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) and Equine Assisted Mental Health (EAMH) programs for community youth, undergraduates studying leadership, education, and human development, and graduate students pursuing a Limited-Residency Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology with a focus in EAMH.
Our philosophy is that through conscious relationship with horses, people are able to develop self-awareness, emotional congruence, and healthy ways of being. Through intentional facilitation of the inherent healing power and intuition of horses, and in combination with the therapeutic value of natural settings, CLS seeks to provide a venue for increased personal awareness, shared growth and academic learning.
Mission Statement
CLS brings together people and horses to foster the awareness, skills, and qualities that are essential for being fully human.
Vision Statement
CLS facilitates collaboration between public, private and service-based organizations to foster growth and learning, and to serve as a center for exploration through work with horses. The program provides opportunities for partnerships with horses, programs for individuals, families and youth, and serves as an equine resource for the education and training of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professional certifications.
