Green to Gold: Sustainable Cities, Healthy Local Economies
March 23 & 24th, 2006

Sponsored by Prescott College, Arizona Public Service (APS), and the Green to Gold Business Network (formerly PSRBnet)

CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

MISSION: to assist communities in creating “Sustainability Task Forces” that collaborate to improve the vitality of economies, environments, and Quality of Life of the Southwest's unique places.

WHERE: The multiple award-winning, sustainably-designed Crossroads Center at Prescott College, 220 Grove Ave, Prescott, AZ 86301 is a stunning facility constructed with recycled and reclaimed materials, natural plantings on the roof, and solar features.

WHEN:  From 1 p.m. on Thursday March 23rd through 5 p.m. Friday March 24th.

WHO: For the City, County, and Tribal governments, concerned citizens, and sustainable business communities of the Southwest.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:

Ed Fox, Vice President, Arizona Public Service and former director of Arizona Department of Environmental Quality

Austan Librach, Assistant Director of Economic Growth and Redevelopment Services, Austin, TX

Randy Hayes, Sustainability Coordinator for the City of Oakland, CA, and founder of the Rainforest Action Network

Alisa Gravitz, Executive Director of Co-Op America, the largest organization of so called “green” businesses in the US
