PRESCOTT COLLEGE ANNOUNCES INTERIM LEADERSHIP

PRESCOTT-Prescott College announces the appointment of Sturgis Robinson as the acting Chief Executive Officer of Prescott College.

A 1975 graduate of Prescott College, Robinson is the founding treasurer of the Prescott College Alumni Association and has served on the Prescott College Board of Trustees since 1996. He resigned his post from the Board of Trustees upon his new appointment.

Robinson was most recently a financial consultant for AG Edwards & Sons of Prescott, Ariz. Prior to that time, he served as an officer of the Diplomatic Service of the U.S. State Department and as a public relations executive and political fundraiser.

"Mr. Robinson represents 25 years of involvement with Prescott College and a thorough understanding with the unique nature of the institution," said Anne Dorman, chairman of the Prescott College Board of Trustees. "The Board of Trustees expects a smooth and efficient transition period while the college searches for a new president."

Dr. Neal Mangham, who resigned his post as president to pursue a role in international education and development, will remain in office until Dec. 31. The national search for a new president should take approximately one year.

"Prescott College has never been stronger academically or financially in its 33 year history," said Robinson. "I am honored that the Board of Trustees turned to me at this crucial time and I expect PC to continue to grow and prosper."
