PRESCOTT COLLEGE ENROLLS RECORD
NUMBER OF NEW STUDENTS
Prescott College welcomes more than 400 new students this fall with record
enrollment in all three programs.
New students living and studying in Prescott number 174, up 29 percent from
last year, while students enrolled in the College's external bachelor's degree
completion and master's program are up 12 and 15 percent, respectively, from
last fall.
Prescott College Admissions Director Shari Sterling said enrollment has
increased for several reasons, including new recruiting strategies and more
interest in the College's personalized style of education.
"People recognize that we provide quality programs. Surveys conducted
by Admissions staff show that students come to the College for the undergraduate
program because of our focus on field work, experiential learning and the
variety of courses offered," Sterling said. "Students in our external
programs, who are earning their bachelor's or master's degree, enroll because
they are able to maintain their personal and professional lives and they
like the self-designed programs and educational philosophy."
Approximately 1,000 students are currently enrolled at Prescott College,
with students from almost every state and international locations.
