Prescott College has been making a splash in the national press recently, including Backpacker (October), Careers and Colleges (September/October) USA Today (Aug. 22), The Chronicle of Higher Education (Aug. 15), Outside (September) and Elle Girl (August). Prescott College was ranked the number one "outdoor-oriented institution" in Backpacker, among the "coolest" schools in Careers and Colleges and one of 50 colleges that "dare to be different" in Elle Girl.
The College also has been selected for inclusion in two new guidebooks. "Colleges of Distinction," available this spring, profiles approximately 150 colleges throughout the United States that excel in engaging students, offering great teaching, providing a vibrant campus community and resulting in successful outcomes for their students. The Princeton Review's "The Best Western Colleges" highlights 121 western colleges in 15 states. Prescott College was selected because it met the criteria for academic excellence and students who submitted anonymous surveys gave the college high marks.
