to Speak at Prescott College

Pete Lavigne, J.D., M.S.E.L., was Chair of the MAP Environmental Studies Program from July 1, 2008 until his death on November 23, 2008. During the months before his illness Pete was enthusiastically working to arrange for two of his beloved and renowned colleagues to come to Prescott College. In his honor, Pete's friends and colleagues Katie Lee and Jack Loeffler will be the keynote speakers at our spring colloquia.

Katie Lee, environmental activist, author, and folksinger and author of Glen Canyon Betrayed: A Sensuous Elegy and creator/producer of the DVD Love Song To Glen Canyon: Images, Words & Song, was our keynote speaker at the February 2009 colloquium.

Jack Loeffler, author of Adventures with Ed: A Portrait of Abbey and Headed Upstream: Interviews with Iconoclasts, will be our keynote speaker at the May 2009 colloquium.
