Katie Lee and Jack Loeffler
to Speak at Prescott College
Pete Lavigne,
J.D.,
M.S.E.L., was Chair of the MAP Environmental Studies Program from July 1, 2008 until his death on November 23, 2008. During the months before his illness Pete was enthusiastically working to arrange for two of his beloved and renowned colleagues to come to Prescott College. In his honor, Pete's friends and colleagues Katie Lee and Jack Loeffler will be the keynote speakers at our spring colloquia.

Love Song To Glen Canyon: Images, Words & Song, was our keynote speaker at the February 2009 colloquium.
Jack Loeffler, author of
Adventures with Ed: A Portrait of Abbey and Headed Upstream: Interviews with Iconoclasts, will be our keynote speaker at the May 2009 colloquium.
Residency Registration Required
Please note that each student is required, as of Spring 2009, to complete a registration form that will notify the MAP staff and faculty of how your residential requirements will be met that semester. The form is available here.
Changes Relating to the Thesis Plan and Thesis
Please note that there have some procedural and conceptual changes to the thesis plan and thesis processes. They are subtle, but will make a difference in how you approach and think about these components. If you are about to begin or currently working on either component please read the current procedures in the MAP Process Handbook.
2008 Online MAP Handbook
is Now Complete
The MAP Handbook is now directly available on this MAP Current Students web-page. All students and advisors are asked to use the current procedures in this online handbook as they supercede all prior written procedures. Procedures do not affect program policy or graduation requirements. See the following item on changes in MAP.
