At Prescott College Tucson Center you can design and earn the Master's degree you've always wanted and complete the program from anywhere in the Southern Arizona area with the support of and interaction with highly qualified faculty. You will earn a degree with foundational knowledge, plus you get to bring in your own passion. You do not need to relocate, stop working, or sacrifice your family responsibilities: Your community and workplace become your classroom. You can design just about any degree within our five broad areas of study: Counseling and Psychology, Education, Environmental Studies, Humanities, and Adventure Education. You can also pursue a teacher credential as part of your program. You won't find a better graduate program to integrate your needs, interests, and career goals.

Students can study and maintain their lives
The Prescott College Master’s program is set up so students can live a normal life and earn their degree at the same time. This means that students can continue working full-time jobs and earn full-time wages while studying. The majority of our students continue to hold jobs and have family responsibilities while they pursue their graduate education. Students communicate with faculty via telephone, email, postal mail, and periodically in person.
Self-designed, student-centered, flexible programs
The Master of Arts Program (MAP) centers on self-directed independent study. MAP provides students with a great deal of flexibility in designing their own studies in the areas of Counseling and Psychology, Education, Environmental Studies, Humanities, and Adventure Education. Students can design highly individualized programs, while extending beyond the confines of traditionally departmentalized graduate study.

They design their programs of study to best fulfill their needs, interests, and career goals. We realize that students have different backgrounds and experiences, and we strive to support students in creating an individualized program of study to best fit their needs.
Limited Residency Requirements
The Master of Arts Program is a limited-residence graduate program designed for creative working adults. All graduate students must attend two three-day colloquia per term (approximately every three months).
On-going Support
In addition to the support they receive from faculty, students may get together with their fellow students during the periodic colloquia or during site-based meetings through the Prescott College Tucson Center. Our students do not experience the same isolation as in other distance programs because they develop strong relationships with faculty and students throughout their program.
