Zach is an ecological economist serving as the Sustainability Coordinator of the Green Mountain Center for Sustainability at Prescott College. He reports sustainability metrics via AASHE STARS and works with students, staff, faculty, and the Prescott Quad Cities to create a more sustainable community. Although not a formal faculty member, Zach is consistently in the classroom to engage students in place-based sustainability experiences. He previously taught Calculus 1 as an adjunct instructor and has supported the course Intro to Global Environmental Problems: Root Causes & Innovative Solutions. Zach received his BS in Geoscience from Pennsylvania State University, researching glacial recession in the Andes mountains. He then served with City Year Boston as a Student Success Coordinator supporting a 9th-grade algebra classroom before earning an MSc in Environment and Resource Management from VU Amsterdam to study plastic pollution in the Dutch food supply chain.
